::take two::

today officially begins my quest for admissions to uci. i realize i've been rather absent the past week. unintentional, i promise. life has been happening in an all-consuming sort of way between various obligations and work and visiting with friends and family. i'm up without an alarm today (though i suppose my cat mango fearlessly batting at the blinds in order that he might be fed breakfast is alarming enough).

it's twenty minutes before seven and the house is relatively quiet. i've fed the kids and settled on the couch to blog and write. and now comes the writing....
